Artisan of Hasami Porcelain
Issaku Yamaguchi

Born in a famous porcelain artisan family in August 1951 in Hasami town, Nagasaki Japan. After years of being an apprentice in his family, he started Issaku-gama (kiln) when he was 30 years old.

 

He had been engaged in creating luxurious premium porcelain arts for more than 10 years, at the same time he has developed air conveyer system (patented in Japan patent agency) in the semi-conductor factory of one of the largest makers in Japan. That was the beginning he started research of microporous ceramic technology.

 

After he retired, he wanted to develop a new product for coffee that he has loved throughout his life, CERAFIL was born.
